John Duckett

John's interest in photography began in his early teens but was never anything more than a casual hobby until his job took him all over East Anglia when spending time in more rural areas re-stirred his love for seeing how the light can completely change the atmosphere of a landscape

Over the years he has developed an unique atmospheric style through experience and experimentation with different camera settings and filters. John spent many years using 35mm SLR film cameras. Over this time he learned the techniques of metering, balancing exposure with filters, depth of field and composition as well as working with the light. Four years ago John made the conversion from film to digital SLR cameras. It took a while to adapt to this new technology but he was determined to use his experience of film and still maintain the importance of getting it right in the camera and not relying on the computer afterwards.

More recently John has turned semi-professional and undertook over 20 shows and exhibitions per year selling limited edition photographic prints. John has work permanently for sale at galleries in Norfolk and is currently working on the first two of what will hopefully be a series of books. John Duckett Images
