


The Norfolk Broads
From dawn until Dusk
We will meet just outside Ludham approximately 1/2 hour before sunrise (exact time
to be confirmed in advance of the workshop), we then have a 15 minute walk along
the river bank to where you can photograph 2 windpumps at sunrise – St Benet’s drainage
mill, a brick built windpump and on the opposite bank the white windpump of Thurne.
We will spend several hours here catching the sun rising across the river Thurne
before moving on to the ruins of St Benet’s Abbey (Benedictine-
By now it will be time for a full cooked late breakfast / lunch which we will have at a local café ( included in the price) and a chance to discuss what you have learned so far and for us to answer any questions arising from the morning. We will briefly show you how to convert raw images in two of the most popular raw converters, Adobe Lightroom and Capture 4 this will transform them from flat lifeless images to wonderful puncy pictures ready for printing or sending to photoshop.
We will then spend the rest of the afternoon at Turf Fen.
At some point during the afternoon we will have a break for a hot drink and a snack.
The workshop will concentrate on teaching the techniques needed to capture landscape
images in the camera rather than relying on the computer afterwards. With a maximum
of 8 guests per workshop we will have plenty of time for some one-
